Woman In Charge

Wooden ironing board, industrial saw blade, shirts

110 cm long x 30 cm wide x 85 cm high

This work speaks of a woman’s spite and thirst for vengeance – a woman scorned, a woman betrayed – a woman hell-bent for retribution. Within four walls this she-devil will have payback.

At another level it’s about women taking charge, rejecting domesticity, asserting their place in the world, challenging the male sovereignty of the corporate world and the white-shirted conventions of so much of society.
